Starfall Landing

will be a 501(c)3 committed to creating and sustaining a housing solution in the Portland, OR metro area where a neurodiverse group of residents and others can live together affordably in a community of supported and empowered independence.

Inclusive Housing Needs are Critical in the Portland OR metro area!
Inclusive, Independent, Affordable, Accomodating.
The Need is real and growing...

Neurodiverse adults who are largely independent, but require some assistance, lack affordable housing that meets their needs. This housing must provide a supportive community that facilitates social engagement and combats loneliness. It should prioritize residents’ sensory needs and their access to transit, as well as provide green space and sustainable staffing.
These adults face several years on a waiting list for a federal housing voucher, or have to go into group or foster homes that often constrain their choices and independence.
One of the biggest challenges other groups encounter is sustainable staffing, so we want to do this differently: better pay, better hours, better benefits and an empowered dynamic of community participation.
Starfall Landing is currently a working group of volunteers and parents, raising funds and establishing community connections with a goal of occupancy sometime in 2029. Interested in helping out? Email us at starfalllanding @ gmail.com

Give residents the opportunity to live as independently as they are able.

Respect: Recognize and respect the sensory differences and special needs of the residents.
Diversity: Prioritize affordability so that residents of any socioeconomic status can access the community.
